For a fun afternoon tea surprise for my kids I made a 3D teddy bear cookie. It had been something I had wanted to do for a very long time and I finally got around to it. When they saw it, they were so excited and the movable arms blew their minds, although they quickly decided which part they wanted to eat, and why is it alway the head ha ha!
What you will need:
- cookie dough
- royal icing
- fondant
- brown food colouring
- toothpicks

Prepare some cookie dough and shape it into the teddy bear pieces. You will need a head, body, arms and legs. Chill it in the fridge for at least ten minutes while your oven heats up. Bake the cookies as in the recipe instructions, you will know its cooked when they are golden. Once they are cooled paint on some dilluted brown food colouring to give some definition.

Ice on two eyes, a sown nose and little mouth using royal icing. Using fondant, make a bow or jumper for decoration. Ice the legs into place with royal icing and allow to dry. If you would like the arms to move, use toothpicks to attach the arms. Remember to remove the toothpicks later. Now you have a super cute teddy bear ready to be eaten!
