This is such a simple valentines cookie diy that is not only pretty and delicious, but your kids can get involved and make them for friends or family members. Fondant is a great icing to work with, its forgiving and is ready to eat immediately.
What you will need:
Edibles:
- Cookie dough
- Fondant Icing (red)
- Icing sugar
Tools:
- MACStencils Chubby Heart Cookie Cutter
- Rolling Pin
- Small Bowl
- Little Spoon
Cut out and chill your cookies in the fridge on a lined baking tray for at least ten minutes while your oven heats up. Bake the cookies as in the recipe and while they cooling roll out some red fondant icing and cut out your heart shapes. In a small bowl, mix two teaspoons of icing sugar with one teaspoon of water, into a paste. This paste will bond the icing to the cookie. Using the little spoon, spread a very little icing onto the cold cookie (you don’t need a lot) then place your cut out fondant on top. You can move it around if needed to get it into the right position. Leave to dry a little and you have beautiful heart cookies x

They are love cookies, indeed. Love the red color and sure the taste is heavenly
