Here’s a quick cookie diy that can be used as a gift or a table place setting. My kids like to decorate these to add to Grandma’s Christmas present. I have used a gift shaped cutter but you can use any cutter and then punch a hole in the cookie with an icing nozzle.
What you will need:
Edibles:
- Chocolate Cookie Dough
- Royal Icing Powder
- Fondant Icing (ready to roll icing)
Tools:
- Cookie Cutter
- Icing Tip
- Rolling pin
- Ribbon
- Icing Bag (I use a zip lock with a clip)
- Cut your cookies out using the cutter and Icing nozzle and chill them in the fridge on a lined baking tray for at least ten minutes while your oven heats up. Bake as in the recipe. While your cookies are cooling roll and cut some fondant icing to match your cookies. Make some royal icing in a bowl, to a toothpaste consistency and pop it into an icing bag.

2. Squeeze a little of the royal icing onto the cookie and smooth the fondant on top and into its position. The royal icing will bond the fondant to the cookie. You can now add any details you like to the cookie. I iced the box lid, bow, initials and spots onto the cookie. Once it is completely dry add your ribbon and your table will look beautiful with these cute cookies x
