Harry Potter Wands

Last year my eldest asked for a Harry Potter Party, as I’m probably the only person in the world that hasn’t read the book or seen the film I based the party on a picture I saw of the Herbology lesson at Hogwarts. Here is the easiest way to make a wand.

Tools:

  • Chopsticks
  • Hot glue gun and plenty of glue
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Glitter (optional)
  1. Heat up your hot glue gun and make sure you have lots of glue sticks ready. Place some drinking cups, spaced out, next to you. Take a chopstick and squeeze glue over the top of the stick and down it for 5 to 6cm, twisting the wand as you go. Place the wand in a cup to dry. Repeat this until all the wands are done and make sure they don’t touch each other while they are drying in the cups. You can probably fit three or four wands to a cup.

2. Once the glue on the wands are dry take each wand and paint one side, placing the unpainted side onto a piece of paper to dry. When the paint is dry repeat with the other side and leave to dry. Now you have some inexpensive Harry Potter wands x
